For death is no more than a turning of us over from time to eternity.William Penn

This memorial website was created to remember our dearest Doris Mae Richards who was born in Jamaica and passed away on September 13, 2006. You will live forever in our memories and hearts.

Approximately one month before her seventy ninth birthday, Doris Richards was called home to Glory, on Wednesday September 13th, 2006, at 3:10 pm.  Although we who love her mourn her loss, we celebrate the Godly, Spirit-filled woman, she was.  We take comfort in knowing she is now sitting at the feet of our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.  This is the moment that Doris Richards, belovedly known to many as Mama, lived every day of her life for.

Tesha You are dearly missed! September 13, 2016
Can you believe it's been 10 years since your passing and even today feels like it was just yesterday that we last spoke. I thank God every day for having had you as a mentor and role model in my life and the exemplary matriarch that has made me the strong woman that I am today.  I feel your presence whenever I have an obstacle in my path that tries to make me stumble or retreat.  And then I remember that Doris Richards would never accept defeat and neither should I.  Uncle Cardo came to join you and papa recently.  I hope you all are having a blast in heaven and comforting each other.  Zoe never got a chance to meet her great grand mother but I tell her about you every day and I am trying to instill in her the same values that you instilled in me.  I pray every day to be more like you and fear God the way you did too.  Stay warm in God's arms.  Love, Tesha.

Cecilia Bourguet My deepest condolences March 17, 2015

My condolences, as feelings of pain and bitterness become unbearable. It is my desire to convey a comforting thought based on the Holy Scriptures

John 5:28 "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out."

This passage speaks of the resurrection of our loved ones. It is not God's plan to see us suffer and die, so He extends the following invitation to us: "Come near to God and He will draw near to you" (James 4:8)

Please go to the following link to obtain more information regarding the Hope expressed in this passage and again we are sorry for your loss.

The Survivors Be Glad February 27, 2007
We, who have survived Doris Richards, whose lives have been dearly touched by her in some way, reflect on her passing with sadness and tears.  But somewhere in the midst of those tears, we must find a way to smile and be glad.  Why?  Because Doris Richards has done something many of us can only hope for.  She has died in the grace and memory of God, and her soul now dwells in the place that God has prepared for His Saints.  This comes from diligent servitude to the true and living God. This is not wishful thinking, but is scripturally-based.  Furthermore, some survivors have received visions from God showing  Doris in a beautiful place, safe and protected.  So, while we miss her, let's not forget to be glad.  Be glad that she has received divine peace.  And if we should follow her path, we will all meet with her again in the New Jerusalem.
